Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 23rd, 2023. In today's article, we kick things off with a couple of reviews. I take a look at Playism and kouri's Ib , while our pal Mikhail has a look at the latest DLC expansion to Two Point Campus. After that, it's time for the new releases summaries. We've got more than a dozen new games to check out, and there are a few really good ones in there. As always, we finish off with the lists of new and expiring sales. Let's get to business! Reviews & Mini-Views Ib ($14.99) As I mentioned when I recently reviewed Paranormasight , I'm not good with horror games. I do make exceptions once in a while if it is a game I've heard a lot of interesting things about though, and that's where kouri's Ib comes into the picture. Ib was originally released for free on PC over a decade ago, and it was remade for PC last year. That remake has been brought to the eShop via publ

Be On Guard to Prevent Tick Bites as Weather Warms - oswegocounty.com

Image
March 27, 2023 Spring is around the corner and people are ready to get out and enjoy warmer weather. With this in mind, the Oswego County Health Department reminds residents that ticks are also becoming more active and looking for hosts – people, pets and wildlife – to attach to. "Ticks can be active year-round when temperatures are above 45 degrees," said Oswego County Public Health Director Vera Dunsmoor. "As the weather gets warmer, the chances of finding a tick on you, your family members or pets increase, so be sure to do 'tick-checks' when coming in from working or playing in the yard or from being out in the woods or brush." New York State has many species of ticks, but residents are most likely to encounter black-legged ticks also known as deer ticks, American dog ticks or Lone-Star ticks. These ticks can carry diseases such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis and babesiosis. Ticks live in shady, moist areas at ground level.

All three tested positive for sporotrichosis brasiliensis, just one type of the fungus.

The Importance Of Vaccinations For Cats - Texas A&M Today - Texas A&M University Today

Kittens and cats, whether they live indoors or outdoors, can be exposed to diseases caused by viruses or bacteria. Vaccinations help protect our feline friends by preventing the spread of these diseases and boosting their body's defense against potentially fatal illnesses. Because of this, Dr. Lori Teller, a clinical associate professor at the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, encourages owners to vaccinate their kittens and cats against common, yet fatal, diseases sooner rather than later. "Kittens should begin pediatric visits to the veterinarian when they are 6-8 weeks old, where vaccinations will initially be given as a series until the animal is 16-20 weeks of age," Teller said. "On the other hand, cats adopted as adults should visit a veterinarian and receive their vaccinations as soon as possible." Some common diseases that cats should be protected against include panleukopenia, a viral disease caused

A Story Of A Stray Cat That Showed Up At Our Window And Came ... - Bored Panda

Image
One night a stray cat appeared at our back door hoping to be fed. This is his story. More info: turniptowers.co.uk One evening, a face suddenly appeared looking in through our back door This was not as dramatic as it sounds, as we had recently moved into a log cabin that had a feral cat living underneath who often appeared at the door waiting to be fed. However, this face was younger and considerably more male than "Mrs. Miggins" the resident feral, so we realized we had a new visitor. The cabin was built on stilts on a riverbank, with a covered verandah at the back overlooking the river, and this visitor sat on the verandah staring in at us and our resident cats, Baldrick and Meg. I carefully opened the sliding door and went out to greet our visitor. He was a little shy, after all, he had no idea what sort of reception he would receive. At first sight, he seemed almost portly, but I soon realized he had a very broad chest but was thin around the waist, and was obviously hopi
