SJPD arrived to Milford Dr. In South Jordan on reports of a domestic violence incident. As officers walked up to the residence, the suspect, Derhak, was walking out. Officers called out to him but he began to ran, according to the affidavit.

Officers said they caught up to him, "[took] him to the ground," and placed him under arrest.

Officers then went back to the residence and talked with the victim, who told them that Derhak went downstairs to take a nap, which left the victim with a "weird feeling," the affidavit states. She reportedly told officers she went downstairs to check on him but found him on the bed, strangling the cat. She ran over and discovered the Derhak had killed the cat, the affidavit states.

Derhak then turned to the victim and began beating her up, police said. The victim eventually got away and locked herself in a bathroom, but reportedly suffered a black eye, abrasion above her eye, a broken rib, bruising on her ribs, and a contusion on her left chest wall.

Derhak was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on the previously mentioned charges.

Since its last retro in in 2020, the "Black Cat" Air Jordan 4 has becoming increasingly coveted, with pairs currently reselling around the $1,000 mark. While that pair will remain scarce for the time being, Jordan Brand is reportedly applying the blacked-out theme to another retro soon.

Should the pair materialize, it will join other similar black-based Air Jordan 5s such as 2017's "Triple Black" Pinnacle, 2021's "Anthracite" variation, an of course, the OG "Black Metallic."

In addition to this new Air Jordan 5, a rerelease of the "Black Cat" Air Jordan 3 is also expected to take place this holiday season.

Felines And Feline Enthusiasm On Display At Wood County Cat Show

People from around the Midwest showed up at the fairgrounds to show off their pedigreed felines and household pets.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — People from around the Midwest showed up at the fairgrounds to show their pedigreed felines and household pets.

The Cat Fanciers Association All Breed Cat Show took place at the Wood County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Over 180 cats of all breeds were entered into the show in the hopes of being judged an ideal example of their breed.

Sabrina Grisier, show manager for the Midwest Persian Tabby Fanciers' CFA Cat Show explained what the show is all about.

"We are in competition for awards. The cats are being judged by eight different judges through Saturday and Sunday," said Grisier. "We as breeders and just cat enthusiasts like to get affirmation that our cats are meeting the breed standards for the all-breed cat, or as a household pet person showing off your loving household pet."

At the competition, cats are called up by number. Judges then write down what they think is their top 10 in each of the four categories: household pet, championship, premiership, and kitten.

There is also an agility competition in which cats run an obstacle course.

Grisler says there has been a explosion in interest from people showing cats in the household pets category with people coming from across this part of the country coming to the show.

Tina Vosworth is one of the participants, who loves to show off her cats as well as get tips from other enthusiasts about grooming and showing her cats, Rudy and Princess Leia.

"They're both about a month apart. They've been showing since they were six months old. We stared at the Cleveland show, and we've been working our way around the Midwest," said Vosworth.
